pawTreats® Gourmet Baking Mix Gingerlicious Snaps with Ginger, Honey & Cinnamon

Delicious homemade cookies and cakes for your pets are easy with pawTree's Gourmet Baking Mixes. These wholesome, natural treats are baked with love, fresh from your oven to their tummies! Each recipe is crafted in small batches using only simple, human-grade ingredients.

Mix in oil and water for delicious crunchy treats or add an egg to that mixture for delicious cupcakes or muffins. A fun and rewarding experience for the entire family!

 

Baking Instructions:

For Cookies

 

  • Heat oven to 325° F
  • Mix one package of cookie mix in a medium-sized bowl
  • Stir in 1/2 cup water
  • Stir in 1/4 cup vegetable oil 
  • Mix well until dough forms
  • Form one rounded teaspoon of dough into balls
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheet
  • Flatten balls with palm of your hand to about 1/4" thickness (or use cookie cutters to make shapes)
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes (in a conventional oven), until firm*
  • Remove from sheet and place on wire rack to cool completely (before feeding to your pets or storing)
  • Store in pawTree® package, or an airtight container, once cooled
  • Makes about 3 dozen 1 1/2 - inch cookies 
  • Cookies will last 2 weeks in the bag on the counter or one month in the freezer (may soften when thawed)

 

Variations:

  • To make cutout cookies, after flattening balls; press dough with a 1- 1/2 inch cookie cutter and remove and reuse any scraps

 

*Cookies should be very firm to maintain crisp texture when cooled

 

For Even More Deliciousness:

  • SPRINKLE any variety of pawPairings® Superfood Seasoning into the cookie dough and mix well before forming balls.
  • BREAK UP any variety of pawTreats® into small pieces and press them into each cookie before baking, to make delicious meaty treats with "chips".

 

Baking Instructions:

For Muffins

 

  • Heat oven to 325° F
  • Stir in 1/2 cup water
  • Stir in 1/4 cup vegetable oil 
  • Add 1 egg along with the water and oil and mix well
  • Mix in one package of baking mix in a medium-sized bowl
  • Mix well until dough forms
  • Fill 12 ungreased cupcake tins almost full or drop by tablespoonfuls into ungreased mini-cupcake tins.
  • Bake 20 to 22 minutes for cupcakes
  • 15 to 18 minutes for mini cupcakes 
  • Let stand in pan 10 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely
  • Store in airtight container
  • Makes 12 cupcakes or 20 to 24 mini cupcakes

 

Muffins have more moisture, so store in bag in the refrigerator for one to two weeks depending on how moist they are. You can also store in the freezer for one month.
